foreign and welcome to my channel make it yourself today we are going to make these uh lovely Vines which has dangling flowers at the end of it and the pattern is pretty simple uh so the basket tutorial you can find the link to which in the description in this tutorial you'll learn to make the vines along with the flowers and the base to which we will be attaching The Vines so do refer to the description to get details on the things required to make these Vines so we are going to start off with this green yarn and we're going to make a slip knot and then we're going to chain 10. so I do apologize because I have a cold and I may not be sounding that great but I still hope you can understand me so here we are chaining 10 so this is the starting uh part of the wine after which we will add a cluster of leaves so for the cluster we're going to First Chain four and on the fourth uh chain from the hook we are going to make a double crochet so on top of this double crochet we're going to make a chain one picot so for that chain one and insert the hook into these two Loops at the base and pull through it and then make a slip stitch now we're going to chain three again and we're going to slip stitch to the same Stitch at the base so this is the first Leaf of the cluster so this cluster will have a total of five leaves using the same pattern so for the second Leaf we are going to start off by chaining three and then we'll make a double crochet into the same Stitch and then we're going to make a chain one picot so chain one insert your hook to the base two loops and make a slip stitch and then chain three and slip stitch to the same Stitch so this is our second Leaf of the cluster so we'll make the third Leaf in a similar manner chain three make the double crochet and on top of the double crochet make a chain one equal and then make a chain three and then slip stitch back into the same Stitch so this is the general pattern which we'll be using to make the leaves for the Clusters throughout the video so repeat this pattern and make a total of five leaves into the same space so this is our fourth Leaf which we are making using the same pattern and this is the fifth leaf and so we'll be using the same pattern to make it so chain three and slip stitch back into the same space now this is a space where we are Slip stitching no make the slip stitch here and then count the third space from this current space so this is the first space where we have slip stitch so one two three so into this space or through this Gap we'll be making the next slip stitch so to make the slip stitch pull the yarn through the middle Loop and then what you have to do is uh we want to bring the Stitch to the center of this cluster so for that you can take out the hook and pull this bottom yarn tightly and Pull It in the opposite direction so that the knot Falls right in the center of this cluster so once you have that done you can continue with the pattern and now make chain five again so this is the length that is between the two clusters and after this we will be adding the next set of clusters so to start the next cluster make a chain of four and into the fourth chain from the hook make one double crochet and then make a chain one pickle and then chain three and slip stitch back into the same space so you can see that the pattern is exactly the same like what we did for the first set of clusters so repeat the same pattern and make the second set of clusters which will have a set of five leaves as well and the pattern is same so I have uh speeded up the video you can definitely slow it down using the settings in your uh YouTube settings section now I just want to show you this part where I uh start the next next uh cluster so here I have made the slip stitch now through the third space this is where people generally get confused so I'm going to show it again so make a slip stitch but when you do the slip stitch pull the bottom uh thread in the opposite direction so that a knot is formed in the center of the cluster so here as you can see when I'm pulling it here the slip stitch is formed right in the center of this cluster of leaves and after that you can go ahead and then chain five for the length between the next two clusters and then we repeat the same pattern and you can make these clusters as many clusters as you want and as you would have seen at the beginning of the video I have Vines of different links so uh this one I have added few cluster of leaves now I will show you how to add the cluster of flowers at the end of the wine so I'm using a light pink yarn here I'm going to start off by making a slip knot and this slip knot I'm going to connect it to the Stitch which is already available here so I'm going to pass see this is the uh plaster of leaves where I've made the slip knot in the center and after that I'm going to connect this pink yarn so pull this Loop through this green Loop here and you can pull the yarn of the green Loop to make it tight and then now this pink Loop which you have in the hook uh you can tighten it up as well so that you don't want too big of a loop and then you're going to chain six so the difference between the cluster of the green leaves and the pink leaves is that we do not have much gap between the Clusters here so here I'm making a chain of six and on the fourth uh Stitch from the hook I'll be making the first set of flower clusters so on the fourth Stitch yarn over and make a double crochet so the pattern is exactly the same like we did for the leaves the only difference is that the distance between the cluster of the petals will be less compared to that we did for the leaves so make a slip chain three and make a slip stitch again chain three again make one double crochet into the same space make a chain one picot and then chain three and slip stitch back into the same Stitch so as you can see the pattern is exactly the same and the for the first cluster of petals we will be making five uh petals into the same Stitch so this is the first set and here we are working on the fourth uh petal here and we will have a total of five petals for this first set so this is the fifth petal and after you're done with the fifth petal as usual like with it we're going to slip stitch into this space and now count three spaces from this space and into the third Gap or third space make a slip stitch and pull the yarn in the opposite direction so that a slip stitch knot is formed in the center of this cluster now chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the third petal and we're going to make one more petal so this is the fourth metal so once you're done with the fourth petal make the slip stitch and then here too again through the third space you are going to make the slip stitch so to make the slip stitch through the third space and pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to place the slip stitch in the center of the cluster and then we are going to chain six again so as you can see that we're just chaining six for the next cluster and into the fourth Stitch from the hook make a double crochet and the second set of clusters the pattern will be exactly the same the only difference is we are going to make four petals instead of five so the first set of petals had five petals this second set of petals will have four petals in them so here as you can see we are making this is a second petal and this is the Here is the pattern for the crochet hanging vines with flowers, extracted from the transcript:
Materials:
Instructions:
1. Making the Vine: * Start with a slip knot. * Chain 10. This forms the base of the vine.
2. Making Leaf Clusters: * To start a cluster: Chain 4. * First Leaf: * Make a double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook. * On top of the double crochet, make a chain 1 picot (chain 1, insert hook into the two loops at the base, pull through, make a slip stitch). * Chain 3. * Make a slip stitch into the same stitch at the base as the double crochet. * Subsequent Leaves (total of 5 leaves per cluster): * Chain 3. * Make a double crochet into the same stitch. * Make a chain 1 picot (chain 1, insert hook into the two loops at the base, pull through, make a slip stitch). * Chain 3. * Slip stitch back into the same stitch. * Attaching to the Vine: After completing the 5 leaves for a cluster, slip stitch into the third chain space from the current space. To center the slip stitch knot, pull the bottom yarn tightly in the opposite direction.
3. Creating Space Between Clusters: * Chain 5. This creates the length between the leaf clusters.
4. Repeating Leaf Clusters: * After chaining 5, begin the next leaf cluster by chaining 4 and repeating the process for 5 leaves. * Continue adding leaf clusters and the connecting chains for the desired vine length.
5. Making Flower Clusters: * Connecting the Flower Yarn: At the end of the vine, connect the flower-colored yarn (e.g., light pink) to the center slip stitch of the last leaf cluster. * To start a flower cluster: Chain 6. * First Set of Petals (5 petals): * Make a double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook. * Make a chain 1 picot. * Chain 3. * Slip stitch into the same space. * Repeat this process to create a total of 5 petals in the same space. * Attaching to the Vine: After completing the 5 petals, slip stitch into the third chain space from the current space. Pull the bottom yarn in the opposite direction to center the knot. * Second Set of Petals (4 petals): * Chain 6. * Make a double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook. * Make a chain 1 picot. * Chain 3. * Slip stitch into the same space. * Repeat this process to create a total of 4 petals in the same space. * Attaching to the Vine: After completing the 4 petals, slip stitch into the third chain space from the current space, centering the knot. * Third Set of Petals (3 petals): * Chain 6. * Make a double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook. * Make a chain 1 picot. * Chain 3. * Slip stitch into the same space. * Repeat this process to create a total of 3 petals in the same space. * Attaching to the Vine: After completing the 3 petals, slip stitch into the third chain space from the current space, centering the knot.
6. Creating the Flower Bud (at the very end of the vine): * Chain 3. * For the bud: Yarn over, insert hook into the 2nd chain and pull a loop. Repeat this two more times (total of 3 loops in the hook). Yarn over and pull through all loops. Make a slip stitch. * Chain 1. * Repeat the bud-making process (yarn over, insert hook, pull loop) into the chain 1 space. Do this three times. Yarn over and pull through all loops. Make a slip stitch. * Make another slip stitch on the side. * Fasten off and trim yarn.
7. Making the Base Sphere: * Start with a magic ring. * Round 1: Chain 2 (does not count as a stitch), make 12 double crochets into the magic ring. Slip stitch to the first double crochet. * Round 2: Chain 1 (does not count as a stitch). Make 2 double crochets in each stitch around (increase in every stitch). Slip stitch to the first double crochet. (Total 24 double crochets). * Round 3: Chain 1. Make 1 double crochet in the first stitch, then 2 double crochets in the next stitch. Repeat this pattern (1 DC, 2 DC in next) around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet. (Total 36 double crochets). * Round 4: Chain 1. Make 1 double crochet in the first two stitches, then 2 double crochets in the third stitch. Repeat this pattern (1 DC in next two stitches, 2 DC in third) around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet. (Total 48 double crochets). * Round 5 & 6: Chain 1. Make 1 double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet. (Total 48 double crochets each round). * Round 7 (Decreasing): Chain 1. Make 1 double crochet in the first two stitches, then decrease (yarn over, pull through one stitch, yarn over, pull through next stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops). Repeat this pattern (1 DC in next two stitches, decrease) around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet. * Round 8 (Decreasing): Chain 1. Make 1 double crochet in the first stitch, then decrease. Repeat this pattern (1 DC in next stitch, decrease) around. Slip stitch to the first double crochet. * Stuffing: Before closing completely, stuff the sphere with polyfill or scrap yarn. Optionally, add pebbles or rocks for weight. * Final Round (Continuing Decreases): Chain 1. Make decreases continuously around until the opening is closed. * Fasten off, leaving a long tail for closing. Use a yarn needle to weave through the remaining stitches and pull tightly to close the opening.
8. Assembling the Vines and Sphere: * Weave in all yarn tails securely. * Arrange the finished vines around the base sphere. * Use a yarn needle to stitch the vines securely to the top of the sphere, ensuring they do not fall off.
