Hi, I'm Muki. For my final project, I explored transportation equity in Japan, especially in regional cities. I learned that mobility is not just only movement. It involves access to healthcare, education, work, and the feeling of belonging. Through this research, I realized that transportation can scientally create inequality. A bus that comes once an hour or sidewalk too null for a wheelchair can determine who has access to opportunity and who doesn't. The book I read argues for the idea of no one left behind. But inclusion can stop a lamps or elevators. People also need to feel safe, seen, welcome and able to move with dignity. So mobility should be treated as a human right not just a convenience. Through this project I strongly feel that inclusive mobility requires not only policies and systems but empathy and listening to the people most affected. Thank you for listening.
