Certainly! Here is the word-for-word transcript for the video:
"Hello, good afternoon. Sorry, naka-mute pala ako. Um, good afternoon, um, August.
Good afternoon po. Afternoon. Sorry guys if hindi ko pa maalala yung nicknames ninyo ha. I'm I'm very bad with names. Um, so let correct me if ever call you by the wrong name. Good afternoon. Ah, CJ. CJ ' ba? Okay. So, um kamusta kayo? How have you guys been after the area engagement? Ah, okay naman po, miss. Okay naman po, miss. really like na parang ah the fun that we had parang it's kind of short like I want to have at least one more day. Yeah. Medyo bitin maikli nga yung ano no yung 2 days pero um pwede namang bumisita ulit sa community if ever you do want to visit them again. Uh make sure lang na meron kayong accompanying adult with you. And thank you for for your answers. So let me just screen share. Balikan natin yung um integration session natin no. So looking at this ladder, um gusto kong itanong sa inyo saan kayo sa sa ladder na ito? Um I again I don't want this to be dapat expected na nandito kayo sa fusion and wellness kasi medyo bitin as um August. Tama ba yung name? Yes po. Okay. As August mentioned, um maikli lang yung dalawang araw. So I don't expect you guys na talagang dapat nasa fusion and oneness kayo. This is more of a self-reflective guide for you guys to just look inward engage within yourselves. Ano ba yung level of connection ko with with my foster ah ates and kuyas doon sa sa tahanang walang hagdanan? Anyone can answer. Go lang. [clears throat] So saan kayo sa ladder na na ito? Ah sige po miss I'll start po. So po ah I think nasa sa ano po kung sa nasa ladder po ah nandito na po tayo sa hindi ibang tao. So I'm siguro I could really say na part of ako ng pakikipaglagayang loob or meal thirst and comfort since ah parang when we talk with our partners sila ano po wait lang nakalimutan ko yung name niya [inhales] pero po si ano si kuya kuya Jwin. Kuya Jwin. Opo. Si Kuya Jwin. So si Kuya Jwin po parang may ano na rin po kami may report na when our with our conversations like parang sa start sure we we started with like the yung mga serious questions and like parang how does it feel ano parang to have a a disability doing work and like ano like how do you how do you integrate that in your life for it to be like ano po parang functional and try to be independent. Pero like after po nonoun parang naging friends na lang na din po kami. Like we start talking about like normal ano normal mga normal conversations and like mga interest namin ganon. like sino yung mga favorite NBA players namin? Salamat doon CJ for being open and sharing your experiences no. Ah, how about for the others? So, nasa ikaw nasa pakikipagpalagayang loob ka ah para sa iba nasaan kayo sa lder na. So for me po I think looking back po I think that nasa third step sa hindi ibang tao pakikipagpalagayang loob. So I think sa experience ko with uh Kuya Arvid I mutually connected with him na to the to the point na parang he's like a like a friend to me uh like a uh what do you call this? I have this like uh respect to uh to Kuya Arvin, but also um whenever I interact with him, it feels uh natural and friendly uh despite na he's like a 20 years older or something na. So what I what I feel uh uh whenever I interact with him is na I I uh I feel at eas I feel comforted and I want to parang engage more with him the the more we talk with each other po. Yes. Okay. Sige. Um, thank you for that August. So nasa pakikipagpalagayang loob ka rin and you mentioned how you feel at least whatever you talked with um si Kuy Arwin uh kahit um even if he's much older than you, there was still that sense of um friendship and report. Salamat doon. Siguro one more student. Hello. So for me po, I think I'm at the third stage din po yung pakikipag basta yun yung third stage po. So yyung yung partner namin si Kuya Michael, si Kuya Mike and parang first day medyo nahihiya pa ako kay Kuya Mike kasi nga first day. Pero bandang the second day parang I naging comfortable na ako with him like nag to share to share stories and to also listen from him. So marami din akong natutunan sa kanya like the value of working and the value of saving money so ayun lang. Salamat doon. Um, Enrique, do I call you Enrique? Yes po. Okay. Thank you. Thank you, Envike. Um, so pakikipagpalagayang loob ka rin. Um, I guess what from what I've been hearing from you guys no talagang naging bukas kayo sa inyong partner sa area at salamat doon at bukas kayo sa partners ninyo sa area pati din sa programa at naaalala niyo pa sila. Um I can sense na naging mahalaga at naging meaningful yung interactions ninyo with. Okay. So if we move on to the social analysis, teka lang. Let me Okay. So if we move on to the social analysis, the sa modules ninyo, makikita ninyo dito yung iba't ibang frameworks. Pero for the PWD sector um we will only be using two which is the social exclusion approach and the rights based approach. Pwede rin naman actually yung capabilities approach. Let us um so yung pinakauna yung social exclusion approach. It looks at how um our partners in the area may or may not be excluded in from the rest of society. So bale tahanang walang hagdanan for them is a safe space. meron silang tinatawag dito. Kaya nga siya tinatawag na walang hagdan kasi you know patag and the place is really built for people with um physical physical handicaps. And um social exclusion approach looks at is it the same for those if for if ilabas natin sila sa community na yon. is society still the same a safe space for them. So the social exclusion it looks at both what it's like in the area and what what it is like outside of the area. So here makikita ninyo yung different forms of exclusion dito. Um so merong physical or geographical. So excluded places uh by not having enough ramps or not having enough um not having enough elevators for persons with on wheelchairs. Tapos although yes present naman siya sa community tapos yung economic is there enough um livelihood opportunities for livelihood sa community and how about aside sa community uh what what systems exclude them outside from outside of tahanang walang hagdanan papasok din dito yung structural legal political and cultural or social um social exclusions. Now, what's the difference between structural, legal and political? Structural refers to more on systems. systemic is there what's a good example are there policies or programs na um cater to the needs of uh our partners in the area so that's structural legal um ano yung mga rights ng anong tawag dito? Ano yung mga rights ng ating partners in the area and political is more on political representation so is there enough are there opportunities or is there political representation for PWDs in let's say the Senate or in LGUs things like that? mas they're related to each other pero they're also different. And then reflection part dito. How does the dual nature of social exclusion um how is it both a form and a cause of poverty? So what does that mean? Um let's say dito sa mga LRTs natin or sa basta sa public transport hindi PWD friendly ang ating mga transp. transportation systems and that is a form of poverty and but it also it is also a cause of poverty because it limits the mobility of our persons with disabilities. So nakaka bale nagkaka-cause and effect siya. There's a dual nature if Yeah. If if if I'm making sense right now, no um it is both it causes something and it also is an effect of something. Gets well ganun siya. sige for the rights based approach naman dito here. Okay so sa meron namang beefer dito. So the rights based approach is more legalistic in the sense na it looks at the law or iyung rights ng mga persons with disabilities. Um, compared to the social exclusion approach na 'yung mga rights or mga policies, they're just they're a part of the framework. Parang segment lang siya. Dito the policies, the programs, and the laws take center stage sa framework na to. So if we look at the worksheet, dito niyo makikita yung iba't ibang ito here the different laws that are meant to protect the persons with disabilities. So merong magna carta for personal disabilities, benefits and privileges as well as expanding positions reserved for person with disabilities. So um sasagutin ninyo what rights are being upheld, how important these rights are, anong mangyayari kung hindi um ma-facilitate ng maayos yung mga karapatan na to. Tapos meron din tayong tinatawag na yung participation, accountability, equality and legality and empowerment. So what do these mean? Participation refers to how easily can our partners in the area participate in claiming their rights. Accountability refers to accountable ba yung mga tao or are the people responsible for implementing those laws and rights properly responsible. or being held accountable as the name suggests. Yung equality is more and yung equality is more on meron bang binibigyan ba ng priority yung mga partners natin sa area. Tapos legality um focuses more on the policies or implementation of these policies. Are these policies implemented um and beneficial to the partners in the area or are they there just for the sake of it? No. So there's a difference between policies na talagang nakakatulong versus policies that are there just for the sake of having a policy but it's not actually helpful. And then meron yung merong yung empowerment. So do the people know their rights? Do they know how to exercise and claim their rights? And for the last part, the problem tree analysis. This is present in all of the frameworks. So here for the social exclusion approach, meron ding problem G analysis. Pipili kayo ng tatlo ng dalawa or tatlong social issues na mae-identify ninyo from the community. And from those two or three, you will choose one and place it here dito sa branch. And then you will identify root causes of it here dito sa roots ng three and then the effects of it here dito sa branches. Okay. So yung capabilities hindi ko pa nga pala naaano. So the capabilities refer to instrumental freedoms that our partners in the area need to live a quality life. And it doesn't look at just economic facilities pero also merong meron tayong political freedoms, merong economic facilities, meron yung social opportunities and then merong transparency guarantees and protective security. So these are the the different kinds of freedoms. If you watch the video doon sa sa canvas, mas maiintindihan ninyo yung concepts ng iba't ibang freedoms. And then you will identify how these freedoms are present or how these freedoms may be lacking doon sa partners natin sa area. So ganun siya. Now looking at all of these frameworks, do you guys have any further questions with regards to this? Pipili lang kayo ng isa out of all the three that I gave you today. You will choose one. questions, clarifications. Going one. Meron ba kayong hindi naiintindihan? Okay naman na po miss. Okay na. Okay sige. Thank you. Um sige if okay na. Uh, can I ask you guys looking at these frameworks? No, which of these frameworks do you guys want to use? Kahit one student ka na answer, okay lang. Miss, parang interesting po yung framework regarding on like parang how would life be for them if they weren't in that ano I forgot which option was that. Social exclusion ba? I think so. Yeah, social exclusion po. Okay. Is that the one miss where it's like parang their life outside of that would have been so much different and difficult like parang in terms of like transportation rin? Yes. Yes. So yeah, that one Yeah. The the social exclusion looks at how um yes doon sa area very ano no what can we do better as a society to be like tahanang walang hagdanan na inclusive tayo sa mga taong naka-wheelchair sa mga taong may kapansanan um so it looks at how we as a society lack um then the the means to not the means pero how much we as a society lack accommodation partners in the area. So it's more of a systemic looking at the system as yun iyung problem. The system is the problem siya na so ganun siya na framework because our systems are excluding the people in the area. So ganun siya. Gets ba? Did that make sense? Thank you. Sige if wala ng questions, um we can end the consultation here na. Um so thank you guys for coming. Um good luck sa midterms ninyo. Alam ko marami kayong exams. So all the best. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you po."
