This video compares the 1Zpresso JP6 and K-Plus hand grinders by brewing filter coffee with each grinder and conducting a blind taste test. The goal is to determine which grinder produces a superior cup of coffee for filter brewing, using an identical brewing method and coffee beans.
Sal's tasting notes were as follows:
1Zpresso JP6: The taster noted a slightly astringent acidity that hit "in the wrong way" after swallowing. He felt there was more "fines" in this cup.
K-Plus: This brew was described as smoother, sweeter, and lacking the astringent quality of the JP6 brew.
Timemore Xlight: Sal described this coffee as more bitter and flat, less bright and vibrant than the other two, and his least favorite of the three. He noted that while it was still "good" because the coffee itself was good, it lacked the vibrancy and brightness of the other brews.
